| The
methods GEMPIRE uses in making products allow our customers
to receive exquisitely decorative and highly desirable items. Typically
made of a brass alloy and custom plated, we also offer precious and
semi precious metals. These items may be made into lapel pins or other
jewelry pieces, such as earrings, charms stick pins, blazer buttons,
cufflinks and many other applications. We offer these same fine processes
for attachment to our marble, key rings, leather gift items, coasters,
and luggage tags. |

Cloisonné:
An ancient process using ground, colored glass. The glass is fired
at high temperatures to allow it to flow between the metal separations
of the die. The surface of the pin becomes smooth and translucent.
Colors are limited with this process. For PMS match, enhanced cloisonné
may be used.

 |
 |
Laser
Fired Cloisonné:
Same initial process as cloisonné, but when details are too
small to allow for metal separations, color is laser fired onto the
pin. |
 |

 |
 |
 |
| Die
Struck: Stamped brass with raised and polished details. The
background is recessed. Sandblasting or antiquing is recommended to
contrast the detail. Spot colors may be added. |
|
 |
 |
Cut
Out: A model is made in order to create a mold into which molten
metal is injected under very high pressure. After the metal has cooled,
it is trimmed, highly polished and plated. |

 |
 |
 |
| Etched Enamel:
The art is chemically etched onto the surface of the metal allowing
for greater detail. The thickness of the pin is less than die struck
enamel. Metal separations are required between colors. Laser firing
and PMS match are available with this process. |
|
 |
 |
Die Struck Enamel:
Color is recessed and the metal separations
are raised. Color fill is enamel allowing for PMS match. Epoxy is
available. |
